Important Information from American Service Center on the E320 Bluetec:

The engineering on the new E320 Bluetec vehicle requires a specific fuel to operate properly. American Service Center wants to make sure you know the correct fuel to power it.

The E320 Bluetec requires Ultra-Low Sulfur fuel. This Ultra-Low Sulfur fuel contains only 15 parts per million sulfur, compared with Low-Sulfur fuel, which can carry up to 500 parts per million. As your owner’s manual will outline, using anything other than Ultra-Low Sulfur fuel could cause significant damage to your vehicle’s exhaust system.

Gas stations in the U.S. are still transitioning over to this new fuel, so not every station will carry it. One sure way to tell if it’s Ultra-Low Sulfur fuel is to check the label next to the diesel pump. If it has a green background with “Ultra-Low Sulfur” written in white type, it’s safe to use.

So, when it comes to fueling up your E320 Bluetec, remember this:
Green background. White type. Bluetec.
